Former EFI CTO and Xaar CEO Doug Edwards Joins Hanglory Group as Strategic Advisor

The Hanglory Group today announced that Doug Edwards, former Chief Technology Officer of EFI and former Chief Executive Officer of Xaar, has joined the company as Strategic Advisor.

Edwards joined EFI in 2020 and spent 5 years as CTO, following five years as CEO at Xaar.

Prior to Xaar, Edwards spent many years at Kodak, serving as President of Kodak’s Digital Printing and Enterprise Business. In this role, he was responsible for flexographic packaging, functional printing, electrophotographic solutions, and both commercial and consumer inkjet businesses, with combined revenues of approximately $800 million.

Earlier in his Kodak career, Edwards led the company’s largest graphics division, Prepress Solutions, a business with revenues of approximately $1.5 billion.

Before joining Kodak, Edwards served as Vice President of R&D at Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG), a 50/50 joint venture between Kodak and Sun Chemical. He has also held senior R&D leadership roles at International Paper, Zeneca Specialties (formerly ICI Colors and Fine Chemicals), and Ilford Photographic Ltd in the United Kingdom.

In his role as Strategic Advisor to the Hanglory Group, Edwards will focus on global market positioning, engagement with international strategic partners and long-term technology strategy. He will work closely with Hanglory’s executive and engineering teams to support the company’s expansion in high-speed industrial inkjet printing.
